We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and transporting them to the laboratory for testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection
- Transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of a training program that includes phlebotomy skills, such as MA, Phlebotomist, EMT, or CNA
- 1 year of work experience and national certification in phlebotomy preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under stress and time constraints.
