Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate test results
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a training program that includes phlebotomy skills
  • 1 year of work experience and national certification in phlebotomy preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills
