Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One-year of current acute care RN experience, with a preference for experience in Emergency Department or Trauma Center settings.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
