We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our team as a tenure-track professor of finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in financial planning, including insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and personal finance.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in financial planning, including insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and personal finance
  • Develop and maintain a research agenda in the field of finance
  • Mentor and advise students in the Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning program
  • Participate in Calvin University and School of Business committees
  • Engage with professional and academic associations in financial planning
Requirements
  • PhD or other terminal degree in finance or financial planning, or a master's degree/MBA in finance and five years of finance experience
  • Expertise and practical experience in financial planning
  • Strong networks in the financial planning industry
  • Desire to help mentor and advise students
  • Experience teaching with a variety of methods and instructional technology
