Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our Alternative Investments practice at BDO. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing tax compliance and consulting services to our clients in the Venture Capital, Private Equity, Hedge Fund, and Real Estate sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance services to clients, ensuring they meet all applicable regulatory requirements while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique tax situations and develop effective tax strategies.
- Lead complex tax engagements, managing teams of tax professionals and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and implement efficient tax processes, utilizing Firm compliance software to maximize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management, providing timely updates and insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, preferred.
- More than two (2) years of prior tax experience, required.
- Financial Services industry experience supporting Alternative Investment funds, preferred.
- Proficiency in the taxation of partnerships, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working towards CPA, CFP, Masters in Tax, or JD, preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat, preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases, preferred.
- Proficient in tax compliance process software, preferred.
What We Offer:
Individual salaries are determined after consideration of numerous factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
California Range: $84,000 - $107,500
Colorado Range: $80,000 - $95,000
New York City/ Valhalla Range: $80,000 - $105,000
Washington Range: $76,000 - $105,000
