Analog Component Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Analog Component Engineer to join our team at Amentum, supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. As a key member of our Strategic Microelectronics team, you will provide technical expertise in analog component engineering, working closely with technologists, program offices, and designers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide analog component engineering support, including writing technical reports and advising on part selection.
- Troubleshoot analog component issues and recommend solutions, leveraging your knowledge of electrical test methods and techniques.
- Interface with program offices, prime contractors, designers, parts manufacturers, test labs, and other government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and review test plan documentation, ensuring compliance with military industry standards.
- Participate in Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Audits and Joint Electronic Devices Engineering Council (JEDEC) meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations.
- Travel is required 25-50% of the time, with opportunities to work on-site at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Component or Systems Engineering experience, with a focus on quality and reliability standards and methods of IEEE parts.
- Knowledgeable or willing to learn best design practices for IEEE parts, including manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of military industry standards (MIL-STD) and the ability to analyze differences between standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports and communicate ideas to customers, program offices, colleagues, and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn more complex functions.
- Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance (US Citizenship required for Secret Clearance).
- Component Engineer with a focus on quality and reliability standards and methods of IEEE parts, with a focus on IC's.
- Knowledgeable on best design practices for IEEE parts, with a focus on IC's, including manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, including formula integration and Macros.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing of IEEE parts, with the ability to perform basic electrical benchtop testing.
- Active Secret Clearance.
