Electrical Engineer Job Description

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering and project management services for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical engineering and project management services for Vulcan Materials Company.
  • Design and manage the construction of electrical projects, including power distribution systems.
  • Assist internal and external electrical engineers in the planning and design of electrical and automation systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to operations personnel as necessary.
  • Mentor and instruct regional electrical staff to ensure conformance to safe and best practices in all aspects of electrical systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of electrical experience in mining, heavy industrial, utility, or related industry.
  • Experience designing and managing the construction of projects related to different types of power distribution preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of mine production techniques and equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and application of safety and environmental regulations (NEC, NESC, MSHA, and OSHA).
