Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Cornelius, Oregon.
Job SummaryThis occupational therapy position involves working with patients of various ages to help them regain functional abilities and achieve their maximum potential. The successful candidate will use clinical judgment skills to develop and implement treatment plans, work collaboratively with healthcare teams, and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluates patients' physical status, functional abilities, and age-specific needs to determine their current level of functioning, self-care, self-responsibility, independence, and quality of life.
- Develops and implements treatment plans that involve patients, families, and social support systems, identifying interventions to reach reasonable goals, coordinating and collaborating on treatment options, advocating for enhanced patient support systems, facilitating environmental modifications, and creating new support systems.
- Provides treatments based on established departmental guidelines and protocols, demonstrating competency in managing patients according to competency checklists.
- Completes all chart documentation according to the criteria of the record review checklist.
- Maintains professional competency by attending continuing education applicable to the specific patient population treated.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a graduate degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy and hold an Occupational Therapist License (in the state where care is provided). New graduates are also eligible. Additionally, they should possess basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as equipment operation and computer skills for documentation.
Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
