Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled Head Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Chatham Bars Inn is a 25-acre oceanfront resort located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We offer 217 rooms and suites, five restaurants, boating, a private beach, full-service spa, and an eight-acre farm. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading our pastry team in the preparation and baking of menu items such as breads, breakfast pastries, cakes, and desserts for our various restaurants and banquets. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, sanitation, and presentation.

• Maintain high standards of quality, sanitation, and presentation in all pastry products
• Lead and motivate the pastry team to achieve excellent results
• Develop and implement new pastry menus and recipes
• Assist in food preparation and cooking assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Clean and maintain equipment, utensils, and workstations

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• At least two years of experience in a similar role
• A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
