About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Children's Health Council. As a key member of our interdisciplinary clinic, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessments and evaluations of speech, language, and communication disorders in children from infancy through adolescence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders, including comprehensive interviews with parents and/or treating speech language pathologists.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results and family input.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to address a range of speech and language disorders, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social pragmatic communication.
  • Collaborate with the team to compile diagnostic team reports and summaries, and provide detailed Speech/Language Assessment reports.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinate clinical care with other disciplines, including SLP, OT, Education, and Psychiatry.
  • Educate and support families, providing them with the tools and strategies to reinforce therapy goals at home.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Valid Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
  • Valid California State license, State of California credential with authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing.
  • Three years post-licensure experience in pediatric clinic or school setting preferred.

To meet the needs of our clients, after-school availability in the afternoon and evening hours is required. Availability between 2-6pm is preferred.

Compensation

Range: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour

Pay Type: Hourly

The starting base salary for this position is as shown above. The actual base salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
