Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing quality assurance and inspection activities within a machining and fabrication setting, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and customer specifications. This role involves maintaining the company's Quality Management System and facilitating audits conducted by external parties and our registrar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage quality assurance processes and personnel.
  • Conduct and/or oversee inspections to verify compliance with relevant standards.
  • Lead and/or supervise the execution of First Article Inspections.
  • Ensure the adequacy and completeness of inspection documentation for specific projects.
  • Administer and/or conduct internal audit programs supporting the Quality Management System.
  • Identify, assess, and address quality-related issues as they arise.
  • Support the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and update quality logs and data as required.
  • Perform routine and specialized analyses as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively. A solutions-oriented mindset, positive attitude, and eagerness to seek assistance when necessary are essential. Additionally, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with basic measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and bore micrometers.
  • Capability to operate and program a CMM (PC-DMIS).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, email, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of welding standards and associated quality programs is advantageous.

Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) is a plus.

Experience in closely related fields may also be considered.
