Job Title: Architect (Internal)

Mastech Digital is seeking a highly skilled Architect (Internal) to join our team in the Federal domain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions that meet the client's mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure and applications to determine cloud readiness.
  • Develop and implement cloud migration/modernization strategies that align with the client's mission objectives.
  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS and Azure services.
  • Lead the assessment and planning of cloud migration projects, including the selection of appropriate cloud migration archetypes.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud-native application development and modernization.
  • Architect solutions utilizing cloud services such as AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions.
  • Lead discussions on application modernization strategies, including containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
  • Implement best practices for refactoring, re-platforming, and rehosting applications in the cloud.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and operations.
  • 4+ years of experience in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) preferred.
  • Proven experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including hands-on implementation of cloud services.
  • Extensive experience in application modernization, cloud migration, and DevSecOps practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • At least 4 years of CDC Experience.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 12+ years of experience.

Relocation:

This position will not cover relocation expenses.

Yes.

Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C).
