- Conduct Handbook Orientation: Provide comprehensive orientation to new patients, ensuring they understand our policies and procedures.
- Search Patient Belongings, Rooms, and Person: Conduct thorough searches to maintain a secure and respectful environment.
- Liaise with Clinical Staff and Patients: Serve as a communication link between clinical staff and patients, addressing concerns and providing support.
- Assist with Patient Assessment Forms: Help patients complete necessary forms and documentation.
- Assist with Phone Calls and Referrals: Support patients with phone calls to family members, friends, and referral sources.
- Participate in Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations, providing emotional support and guidance.
- Transport Patients to Meetings: Accompany patients to meetings and appointments, as needed.
- Document Patient Progress: Record patient involvement and progress in progress notes.
- Collect Urine and Complete Paperwork: Collect urine samples and complete necessary paperwork for drug screening.
- Provide Post-Discharge Contacts and Referrals: Offer support and guidance to patients after discharge, under therapist direction.
- Monitor Medication and Document: Monitor patients' medication and document accordingly, if applicable.
- Work in the Gift Shop and Manage Menu and Nutrition: Assist with gift shop operations and manage menu and nutrition needs, if applicable.
- Manage Donations and Patient Requests: Coordinate donations and patient requests, if applicable to the location.
- Monitor Smoke Breaks: Supervise smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
- Complete Intake Paperwork: Assist with intake paperwork as needed.
- Monitor Clients' ADLs: Observe and report on clients' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Remain on Duty: Ensure continuous coverage until relieved.
- Attend Mandatory Trainings and In-Services: Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.
- High School Diploma or GED: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Some College Education: Preferably, some college education or equivalent experience.
- Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, allowing for patient transportation.
- PA Criminal History Record Check: Pass a Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check.
- PA or State Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances: Obtain required clearances.
- CPR/First Aid Training: Complete CPR/First Aid training.
- Pass Drug Screen and TB Testing: Pass a drug screen and TB testing.
- Mandatory Staffing Coverage: Be available for mandatory staffing coverage to ensure a safe treatment environment.
- Remain Awake and Alert: Remain awake and alert while on duty.
- Recovery Experience: If living a life of recovery, have at least 18 months of recovery experience from substance use disorder.
- Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center: Work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
- Favorable Working Conditions: Enjoy a safe and respectful work environment.
- Minimal Physical Demand: Perform tasks with minimal physical exertion.
- Moderate Mental Demands: Respond to patients' simultaneous requests, requiring moderate mental effort.
