About the Position

We are seeking experienced law enforcement professionals to join our team as Lateral Transfers. This role offers a unique opportunity to bring your skills and experience to the City of Peoria Police Department.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Meet the minimum qualifications, including state certification or waiver by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board, United States citizenship, high school education or equivalent, and valid driver's license
  • Have completed years of service with prior agencies, eligible for placement at Step 5 of the Salary Schedule
  • Agree to comply with all requirements of the position and have the ability to pass all examinations and training requirements
