Position Overview

The Traveling Respiratory Therapist will provide essential respiratory care services across various healthcare settings, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Certification Requirements
  • Certifications: CRT or RRT

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient environments within the designated service areas.
  • Work within a 39-bed facility that is recognized for its excellence in healthcare.
  • Maintain compliance with standards set by The Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies.
  • Engage with a diverse community that values history and natural beauty.
  • Contribute to a healthcare team that is part of a nationally recognized health system.
Key Qualifications
  • Previous hospital experience is essential, with the capability to work independently.
  • Experience with neonatal care and support during C-Sections is preferred.
  • Proficient in performing EKGs and managing ventilators and Vapotherm devices.
  • Ability to draw ABGs and operate related machinery.
  • Must possess an active CRT or RRT license.
Work Schedule
  • Typical shifts consist of 3 twelve-hour shifts.
  • This role primarily involves working alone during night shifts.
Unit Information
  • Bed Capacity: 39
  • Patient Ratios: 5:1 for nursing; RT manages all patients with RT orders.
  • Equipment Utilized: Vents, Bipap, CPAP, Vapotherm, Accupap, SVNs, EKG.
  • Documentation System: Medhost
  • Dress Code: Any color of scrubs is acceptable.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary respiratory therapist for patients with RT orders.
  • Assist in emergency situations, including codes and trauma cases.
  • Manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, along with SVN treatments.
  • Work schedule typically consists of 6 days on, 8 days off.
