Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse

Central Care Inc is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to critically ill neonates in our NICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive professional neonatal care to critically ill neonatal patients in the NICU.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform critical care duties to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating age-specific nursing care across all ages.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical exam and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
- Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
- At least one (1) year of qualifying experience in the specialty is required.
- A thorough knowledge of electronic fetal/uterine monitoring (placement, maintenance, and interpretation) is required.
- A valid, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) in any U.S. jurisdiction within the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands is required.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-Advanced, and STABLE are required.
- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred.
