We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Preservation Specialist to join our team at Wellspring Lutheran Services. As a key member of our Family Preservation program, you will play a vital role in supporting families in need of assistance in the Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, and Missaukee Counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strength-based, non-deficit services to families, adhering to the MiFT model of service.
- Assist families in obtaining concrete services, such as housing, transportation, and home maintenance.
- Offer skills training, including parenting, self-advocacy, self-sufficiency, and communication.
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for families.
- Maintain face-to-face contact with families, as well as regular communication with referring workers.
- Complete follow-up evaluations of families at 3, 6, and 12 months.
As a Family Preservation Specialist with Wellspring, you will be part of a dedicated and caring team of social workers, administrative professionals, and support staff. You will receive clinical supervision and support, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
