As a Channel Sales Specialist at Institutional Shareholder Services, you will be responsible for identifying and partnering on referral and retention opportunities for our leading online and advisory based corporate governance, executive compensation, sustainability, and financial analysis solutions. This role is ideal for sales and relationship management professionals looking to grow their career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team in Washington DC or Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, preferably in the financial corporate or consulting area. They will work closely with the Head of Partnership Strategy and the broader ISS-Corporate Sales team to maintain and grow the annual referral channel for ISS-Corporate, partner to increase client retention for first year Compensation clients, and manage existing professional advisory firm accounts.

  • Provide sales support for new sales and retention efforts
  • Manage advisory firm lead queue
  • Engage in outbound prospecting both for direct sales and referrals
  • Handle account management responsibilities for advisory firms, and serve as a liaison with account executives
  • Meet revenue goals by partnering with other sales team members to close new solutions and improve retention of existing subscriptions

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related study or equivalent experience. They will possess superior analytical, verbal, and written skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A ability to establish credibility and rapport with consultants at professional advisory firms is also essential.
