Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required

License: Must have an active license to apply

Certifications: ARRT-MR preferred

Must-Have: Cerner experience required

Job Description:

  • Open to later start date
  • Firsttimers accepted
  • Will work every 4th weekend or as needed
  • Oncall required as needed
  • Candidates will not float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Discuss schedule requests with the manager for accommodating block schedule
  • Locals accepted
  • Required abdomen and pelvis MRI Skills/Experience: Abdominal, Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), Magnetic resonance venography (MRV), Female/Male Pelvis, Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP)
  • Required cardiovascular MRI skills/experience: MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff
  • Required chest MRI skills/experience: Chest
  • Required head and neck CT experience/skills: Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/soft tissue neck, Head Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), Head Magnetic resonance venography (MRV), Neck Magnetic Resonance Venography (MRV), Orbits
  • Required musculoskeletal MRI skills/experience: Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony pelvis, Knee, Lower extremity long bones, Shoulder, Sternum, Temporomandibular joint with/without contrast, Upper extremity long bones
  • Required special imaging procedure skills/experience: CINE (Cerebrospinal fluid flow study), Diffusion (nonbrain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Maximum intensity projection (MIP), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion, Peripheral Magnetic resonance angiography (Iliac, runoff), Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T1 Weighted Images, T2 Weighted Images
  • Required spine case MRI skills/experience: Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/coccyx, Spinal trauma, Thoracic, Thoracic Magnetic resonance angiography
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Must be in state 3 business days prior to compliance deadline to meet fingerprinting requirements


 Flu Vaccine required
  • Medical/Religious Exemptions only
  • Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • All travel candidates must float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
  • Background policy may require prior approval
  • Orientation: 16 hours nonbillable
  • Modules: Nonbillable up to 16 hours. Modules completed virtually on the first day by EOD, then annually. Nonclinical hours do not vary; module hours may vary for clinical roles.
