Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Sociology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's service activities.
Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sociology, including sociological research methods, race and ethnicity, inequality, and applied sociological practice.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier journals.
- Participate in departmental service activities, such as committee work and advising students.
- Doctorate in Sociology, Ethnic/Racial Studies, or equivalent.
- Ability to teach effectively in traditional and online settings.
- Strong research and publication record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quantitative social science research training.
