About the Role

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing student communication skills and developing strategies to support their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students' communication skills and develop individualized plans to support their needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement treatment plans and promote student success.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in student communication skills.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address identified areas of need.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
  1. Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  2. Must hold or be eligible to hold State of Delaware Professional License in Speech Language Pathology.
  3. Must have experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
  4. Bilingual preferred.
Competencies
  • Familiarity with IEP process and state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledge of equity initiatives and resources that promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Understanding of special education, 504, and school law.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
