Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Foreman to join our team at Energy Air, Inc. as a Senior HVAC Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in the HVAC trade and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and safe completion of projects.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Install and braze DX piping systems, including copper and PVC fittings.
    • Perform leak testing and dehydration of DX systems.
    • Install and terminate low-voltage wiring for stand-alone controls and thermostats.
    • Run condensate drains with proper traps and pitch.
    • Install accessories on rooftop package units, including outdoor air hoods and electric heaters.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge
    • Read and understand blueprints and submittals.
    • Ability to start up DX split systems and rooftop package units, and complete required start-up sheets.
    • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical systems.
    • Knowledge of chillers, chilled water system piping, and motor starters.
    • Experience with variable speed drives, controls start-up, and troubleshooting.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Possess good communication skills to effectively interact with customers, co-workers, and other stakeholders.
    • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in the HVAC trade.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and submittals.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Work Environment

The Senior Foreman will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical activities such as standing, balancing, and climbing stairs and ladders. The ability to work from heights (over 20 feet) is common. Walking and lifting weights of twenty pounds or more is required in the daily performance of the job. Use of upper extremities is required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing, pulling, and material handling. Use of the torso and lower extremities is required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
