  • QUALIFICATIONS: A High School Diploma is preferred. Familiarity with kitchen operations and management is essential. Must possess a valid Food Handlers Card or be able to obtain one post-employment. Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues, students, and the community. Proficient in basic math and communication skills, with the ability to operate as a cashier. Capable of lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds. Open to exploring innovative ideas. Physically fit to carry out assigned tasks. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
  • REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager.
  • JOB GOALS: To enhance the educational experience of students by providing nutritious meals in a welcoming and efficient environment.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres to nutritional standards. Prepares and serves meals. Packs food for distribution to satellite locations. Engages in cleaning tasks within the kitchen, serving, and dining areas. Complies with health and sanitation regulations. Responsible for dishwashing and assisting with extensive cleaning duties. Oversees food storage and disposal processes. Maintains ethical standards and confidentiality. Demonstrates regular attendance.
  • OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keeps accurate records and completes necessary documentation. Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time role requiring 17.5 hours of work per week during the academic year. Compensation is based on the Classified Salary Schedule. Employment is at will.
  • EVALUATION: Annual performance reviews conducted by the Cafeteria Manager.
