Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for building, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and test electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and system-level hardware.
  • Perform in-process testing of products being manufactured.
  • Complete Device History Record data accurately.
  • Handle assembly and test requirements for reconditioned hardware.
  • Support packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Hologic policies, including QSR, ISO, and EH&S standards.
  • Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons) and perform mechanical inspections (calipers, indicators).
  • Operate basic electrical test equipment (multimeters).
  • Provide training and support for manufacturing and service operations.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and internal audits for regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree preferred).
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • High attention to detail and focus on quality.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use hands to manipulate tools.
  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and high-voltage electronics.
  • Ability to work in clean rooms or controlled environments.
