The Cub House accommodates a maximum of 10 children, providing a nurturing and responsive environment that prioritizes their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs. Communication with parents and caregivers is essential to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the director and teaching staff in delivering a progressive, Reggio-inspired curriculum tailored for young children.
- Monitor and promote the overall well-being of each child, addressing their individual needs and interests.
- Support a collaborative and creative group experience among children.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment conducive to learning.
- Stay vigilant to ensure safety and address any concerns that may arise.
- Engage in effective communication with families and colleagues.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss program development and improvements.
- Ability to lift, bend, squat, reach, and push as part of daily activities.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement, including getting up and down from the floor, is required.
- Ability to respond quickly to various situations.
The work setting is dynamic, often loud, and may involve messy activities. A portion of the day will be spent outdoors, encouraging active engagement with the environment.
