Job Summary

S&S Worldwide Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in North Logan, UT.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and accident insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with a 100% company match to 4% and a generous bonus program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing documentation for amusement rides, tower rides, and related structures, working from design through the construction phase and completing analysis/design computations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and design structural projects, including roller coasters, tower rides, and related structures
  • Identify and solve design and construction challenges
  • Complete structural analysis to verify capabilities of structure before fabrication
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques for design of steel structures
  • Prepare engineering calculations and oversee the production of documentation
  • Coordinate the structural evaluation process as part of a multidisciplinary group of Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
  • Review and stamp drawings and calculations
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Remain current on codes and requirements; participate in industry fairs and professional and educational organizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field required
  • 7+ years of professional experience working in structural engineering
  • SE license (CA preferred). Ability to obtain comity SE license in any state
  • Ability to create and manage schedules in MS Project or equivalent planning tool
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally as required
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with a high attention to detail
