Job Title: Database Architect

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data layer solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical teams, fellow architects, and stakeholders to architect and design data layer solutions that balance mission, technical, and security requirements.
  • Develop and document architectural guidance, interface designs, and other technical documentation for data layer engineering teams.
  • Assess the feasibility of software systems designs and plans, ensuring alignment with established mission requirements and security mandates.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data flows, processes, hardware and software environments, network connectivity, system interfaces, and security controls.
  • Communicate technical assessments, proposals, and alternatives to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
  • Oversee the design and development of custom solutions or the evaluation, selection, and implementation of COTS solutions.
  • Monitor current and emerging technologies and industry trends to present technical recommendations to senior management and technical teams.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading complex data architecture projects.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, SQL, Java, and Linux.
  • Strong experience with the full data lifecycle, from ingest through display, in Big Data environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues pertaining to data, security, engineering, and architecture in enterprise-size mission environments.
  • Familiarity with standards and data issues in enterprise-size environments.
  • Familiarity with multiple data management, content management, and knowledge management solutions.
