We are currently seeking an Engineering Trainee to join our engineering team. This role is diverse and offers the chance to engage in various engineering projects within the Themed Entertainment sector, focusing on ride and show systems. The Engineering Trainee will work on projects tailored to both large and small clients, ensuring that timelines are met. This position requires collaboration with team members and clients to understand unique requirements while also managing independent project tasks. It is an excellent opportunity for an engineering student eager to learn about the complete product life cycle and enthusiastic about the themed entertainment field.

Key Qualifications for the Engineering Trainee:

  • Availability for a 40+ hour work week
  • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or engineering technology
  • At least 6 months of relevant hands-on experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong interest in understanding the entire product life cycle from concept through production, testing, installation, and commissioning in relation to the themed entertainment industry
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Enjoyment in working with complex electro-mechanical and control systems
  • Aptitude for comprehending intricate systems and assisting in diagnosing issues and faults
  • Ability to oversee extended cycle testing, generate status reports, and communicate findings to engineering and technician teams
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including overnight shifts

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with complex electro-mechanical and/or robotic systems is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Prior internship experience in design, manufacturing, or testing environments is advantageous
  • Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical and robotic components and controls
  • Demonstrated capability in performing basic analysis and calculations
