POSITION REQUIRED:
Practical Nurse (LPN)
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one year of verified experience as a Practical Nurse.
Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program is essential.
Must hold a current state nursing license and CPR certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver direct patient care services in alignment with legal, ethical, and institutional guidelines through patient assessment and therapeutic interventions as directed by clinical staff.
Administer prescribed medications via various routes including oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, or intramuscular.
Assist in the distribution of medications during pill line.
Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment.
Conduct skin testing and perform venipuncture for laboratory specimen collection.
Document patient care activities accurately in health records.
Record diagnostic tests such as venipuncture for lab studies, visual acuity assessments, and EKGs as instructed by healthcare providers.
Manage lab work filing on a daily basis.
Maintain precise logs of all reports following institutional and regulatory policies. Review laboratory tests/results for normal and abnormal values and inform the appropriate medical personnel.
Support healthcare providers in managing chronic care clinics.
Review clinical documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy in medical records.
Possess knowledge in managing chronic health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
Initiate emergency care as necessary, adhering to community standards.
Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy.
Comply with infection control protocols.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating EKG and laboratory equipment.
Understand mental health disorders and possess the ability to screen for significant mood changes.
Provide basic first aid and preventive care, offering guidance in managing common illnesses and injuries.
Perform assigned duties while accepting only those nursing tasks that align with educational background, training, experience, and nursing licensure regulations.
