Job Summary

The Assembler, CI Equipment plays a crucial role in supporting the organization-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiative. This includes providing training and coaching to employees on process improvement methodologies, auditing actual process performance, and moving or building equipment/materials to 5S production centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works primarily in a Retail, Warehouse and Outlet setting, with occasional travel to all of Goodwill of Colorado's business units within the state of Colorado.
  • Builds and moves equipment needed for events, including driving company box truck and/or personal vehicle.
  • Learns and promotes CI tools, emphasizing the importance of standard work to gain efficiency in retail and other processing areas.
  • Helps implement communication of CI schedule and outcome(s) of Kaizen events and studies.
  • Assists all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Continuous improvement or LEAN experience preferred.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Must be safety and quality driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, and management staff.
  • Ability to present to small groups.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to utilize smart phone apps and maintain cellular phone contact with the CI Team.
  • Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter, problem-solver and team player.
  • Ability to understand and follow all Goodwill safety standards and guidelines.
  • Preferred Bilingual: Spanish/English.
  • A valid Colorado driver's license without a history of violations is required.
