Job Summary

Early Learning Centers is seeking a skilled DayCare Cook/Floater to provide nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cooking, with a focus on nutrition and dietary guidelines for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and allergies
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following health and safety regulations
  • Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies
  • Assist in serving meals and snacks to children, ensuring proper portion sizes and dietary restrictions are followed
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces after each use
  • Assist in other areas of the daycare, such as supervising children during playtime or helping with classroom activities, as needed
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about menu plans and any dietary restrictions or concerns

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or cooking role, preferably in a daycare or school setting
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children
  • Ability to follow recipes and adapt them to meet dietary restrictions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must pass a background check and have up-to-date immunizations
