As part of UF Health Central Florida, a not-for-profit healthcare system, we pride ourselves on being the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in the region. Our services extend beyond acute hospital care to include inpatient rehabilitation and diagnostic laboratory services, all aimed at fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and the community.

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role under the guidance of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and Registered Nurses, ensuring a sterile environment in the surgical setting. A strong surgical conscience is essential, along with proficiency in routine surgical and diagnostic procedures. Open heart experience is a mandatory requirement.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
On-call Requirements: Availability for after-hours and weekend on-call shifts a few days per week, with compensation for on-call duties and overtime pay when called in.

This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.


Qualifications

Education:
- Specialized training beyond high school

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Certification in Surgical Technology or LPN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Proven experience in open heart procedures is essential.
