Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance on industrial and mining machinery.
  • Install, calibrate, and service all electrical systems, instruments, and gauges.
  • Diagnose and coordinate electrical requirements, repairs, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications for maintenance and repair.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all OSHA and MSHA regulations diligently.
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear while on site.
  • Meet or exceed established safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
  • 3 years of experience in heavy industrial operations, particularly in aggregate or cement.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems up to 4,160 volts.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers and digital drives.
  • High school diploma required; an associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual candidates are a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to interpret technical documents, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
Working Conditions
  • Regular exposure to extreme temperatures and noise levels.
  • Must wear protective equipment while performing job duties.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and motor control circuits.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
  • Heavy lifting required, with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds consistently.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for safety and collaboration.
