Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Shaner Hotel Group. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including the parking lot, lobby, and guest rooms, to ensure the safety and security of our guests and employees.
- Respond to Incidents: Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies that may arise, including duress alarms, guest/employee accidents, and vehicle accidents/thefts.
- Enforce Hotel Policies: Enforce hotel policies and procedures, including those related to guest room access, valuables storage, and confidentiality of security and hotel reports/documents.
- Provide Assistance: Provide assistance to guests and employees as needed, including helping with room access, storing valuables, and responding to guest requests.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all security and hotel reports/documents, as well as guest and employee information.
Requirements
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1-year prior experience in a similar position of dealing with the general public.
- Communication Skills: Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
- Security Clearance: Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and employee information.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.
