We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Spaulding Rehabilitation in Cambridge. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' occupational therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
- Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
- Participate in additional department, organization, or network activities as established.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensed (and in good standing) as an occupational therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
- Problem-solving skills for occupational therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
- Ability to assess and interact with patients and families using theories of human growth and development, family systems, and cultural background.
- Ability to maintain a variable work schedule to provide patient care.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipates challenges and develops strategies for addressing them.
- High level of service delivery.
- Attention to detail.
