Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor at COMFORT NURSING & REHABILITATION, you will oversee the day-to-day nursing functions of an assigned area, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants and providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and facility policies.

Duties:
  • Supervise professional and non-professional staff in the delivery of resident care, schedule job assignments, and develop nursing unit priorities.
  • Orient new staff, participate in recruitment and selection of nursing personnel, communicate policies, and assist and coach as needed.
  • Prepare and review medical records, assess residents' physical and emotional status, and monitor resident activity.
  • Administer medications as ordered by physicians, sign and date charting and recordkeeping, and understand and comply with residents' rights.
  • Participate in developing and implementing written care plans, in-service training, and orientation programs.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families, work cooperatively with other employees, and maintain regular attendance.
  • Meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
  • Capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
