Job Summary

This position is located in the U.S. Department of the Interior and is responsible for conducting biological studies and investigations to understand the impact of human activities on the environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of scientists and researchers to develop and implement strategies to mitigate the effects of environmental degradation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct studies and investigations to understand the impact of human activities on the environment.
  • Deploy data-collection systems and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the effects of environmental degradation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address environmental concerns.
  • Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Must have a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in biological research or a related field.
  • Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in an office and laboratory setting. The incumbent may be required to travel to field locations to conduct research and collect data.
