About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Software Engineer and Hands-on Architect to join our team at Apple. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation storage technologies for all Apple platforms.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Operating Systems, storage technologies, block storage stacks, IO performance/characterization, and experience leading design and development efforts. Your expertise should include system level storage architecture solutions, adding functionality and improving performance across multiple product lines, from the application layer down to low-level device drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain device drivers for storage on Apple OSs
  • Drive company-wide storage initiatives
  • Architect new driver stacks and frameworks
  • Support cross-functional teams and platform developers
  • Maintain and enhance the Darwin kernel and other related software stacks as necessary

At Apple, we offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary that is determined within a range of $175,800 to $312,200 depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
