Job Title: Classical Ballet Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Classical Ballet Instructor to join our team at the University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all levels of classical ballet technique and pointe technique, as well as choreographing for departmental concerts and mentoring student choreography showcase performances.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach all levels of classical ballet technique and pointe technique
  • Choreograph for departmental concerts
  • Mentor student choreography showcase performances
  • Secondary expertise in teaching contemporary, modern, dance history, jazz, tap, hip-hop, introduction to dance, and/or dance studies/theory
Requirements:
  • MFA in Dance or commensurate professional experience
  • One or more years related experience teaching at a college/university level
  • Professional dance experience
  • Experience choreographing at the collegiate or professional level
