As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op at Chemours, you will play a key role in shaping the future of chemistry and the world. Our team is dedicated to creating a colorful, capable, and cleaner world through chemistry, and we invite you to join us in this mission.

As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with our Louisville Technical team, gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers, applying what you've learned in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvement plans
  • Conduct failure analysis investigations
  • Participate in process safety management activities
  • Contribute to team meetings and conference calls
  • Alarm Management and other recurring responsibilities
  • Mechanical process improvements

Requirements:

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
  • 3.0 GPA or above
