We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
Key Responsibilities- Service Calls: Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including diagnosing and repairing equipment and system malfunctions.
- Customer Communication: Effectively communicate with customers to ensure complete satisfaction and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize prescribed troubleshooting procedures and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment and system issues.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational product manuals to ensure accurate installation and repair of sprinkler systems.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by consistently communicating with customers and district staff to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Electronic Documentation: Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding and obtain customer signatures.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage and respond to emergency service calls.
- Experience: 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, perform physical labor, and work in unusual positions.
- License: Possess a valid driver's license and a current State Fire Protection License or Journeyman License.
- Background Check: Pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- NICET Level II: Possess a NICET Level II certification.
