Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, refrigeration systems, and other related components.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support.
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot issues.
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines, including routine maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
