Job Overview:
  • Oversee payroll operations for both unionized and non-unionized personnel
  • Guarantee accurate and prompt processing of payroll transactions
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff members
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and regulations
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and operational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Establish and assess payroll processing systems
  • Maintain precise payroll documentation and reports
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Coordinate with HR regarding employee benefits deductions
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Identify and propose enhancements to payroll systems
Essential Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes and taxation
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Prior experience in payroll for the construction industry is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with payroll software such as Exaktime and Foundation Software
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a relevant field
