Job Summary:

The Cath Lab RN Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for the effective management and coordination of interprocedural Cath Lab care. This role requires a professional individual to provide direct patient care in all Cath Lab procedures and coordinate coverage of other staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Cath Lab and OR schedules
• Manage supplies and regulate outdates and inventory
• Prepare and execute validations
• Plan and educate on JACHO initiatives
• Coordinate vendor representatives
• Administer and train on Cath Lab systems, including current or future EMR
• Perform assessments, develop a plan of care, implement and evaluate care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Direct, monitor and evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnel
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to assure safe and accurate delivery of care

Requirements:

• Graduate of a nursing program
• A minimum of two years of recent Cath Lab Charge experience
• Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact
• BLS within 30 days of employment
• ACLS within one year of employment for RNs with the home department or cross trained in: PCU, ED, Cath Lab, Outpatient Services or Phase II Outpatient Cardiac Rehab
• PALS or ENPC within one year of employment for RNs with ED as their home department
