Position Overview:
As a Patient Care Technician, you will deliver essential support to patients under the supervision of the nursing team. Your responsibilities will include monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, repositioning patients, changing bedding, and executing other designated tasks. You will also gather pertinent information regarding patient status as requested by nursing personnel and communicate any notable changes in patient health.
Qualifications:
Education: Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 3 months of experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Surgical Technologist within the last 3 years OR
Completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the last 3 years OR
Completion of a nursing fundamentals course with clinical experience in an accredited nursing or practical nursing program OR
Must possess a valid Missouri CNA License OR
Must have MO CNA Appendix and obtain the MO CNA license within 120 days of employment.
Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Demonstrates effective time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Adaptability and proficiency in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 90 days.
