Job Title: Registered Nurse - Leadership Role

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to fill a leadership role in our mental health department.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.

This position will assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to staff assigned to their shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.
  • Assist in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational, and Performance Improvement efforts.
  • Provide supervision to staff assigned to their shift.
  • Collaborate with Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Counselors, Activity Therapists, and Mental Health Technicians to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
  • Thorough knowledge of The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
