Job Summary

At Hunter Care Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical laboratory functions, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, and Microbiology.
  • Report test results following clinic protocols, alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results.
  • Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling, and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
  • Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a Physical or Biological Science or Higher Preferred.
  • Clinical lab experience in specimen preparation, testing, and resulting of samples. Experience in hematology and blood chemistry is preferred.
Working Conditions

Work in a well-lit, ventilated, and air-conditioned facility. Prolonged sitting and standing. Position may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, or use of tactile information. Requires motor coordination, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, hand-eye-foot coordination, and may include lifting objects up to 50 lbs.

Certification and Licensure
  • Must maintain a Valid Drivers License.
  • Must maintain all CE requirements.

MLT, (ASCP) certification preferred.
