The compensation range for this role is $72,250 - $100,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop tax return supporting documentation and collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely filing of tax returns/extensions and payments.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions.


Reconcile monthly sales and use tax records and work with external tax advisors to file tax returns across all operational jurisdictions.


Engage proactively with various departments to ensure accurate sales and use tax billing to customers or appropriate accounting in project forecasts.

Reconcile monthly fuel tax records.

Oversee month-end financial closing processes, including the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger tax accounts, and support the year-end audit procedures.

Monitor the validity of tax exemption certificates and secure updated certificates from clients prior to expiration.

Assist with various tax and business filings.

Support the management of domestic and international tax audits.

Conduct research on diverse tax issues and provide informed recommendations.

Demonstrate a solid grasp of accounting principles and reconciliations.

Effectively prioritize multiple tasks/projects while managing regular responsibilities, working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Perform other tax-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Role

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience


A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, coupled with a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A CPA or Master's degree in tax is preferred. Familiarity with Onesource tax provision or similar software is advantageous.

Language Proficiency

Ability to read and interpret tax documents and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. Capable of drafting routine reports and correspondence. Ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues within the organization.

Mathematical Proficiency

Ability to compute figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capacity to adapt to change, think strategically, deliver results, and engage and influence others.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

Certifications

CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
