Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of maintenance responsibilities aimed at keeping our premises safe and operational.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM

Compensation: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including painting, minor electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and upkeep of heating and ventilation systems.
  • Inspect and assess equipment or machinery requiring repairs.
  • Diagnose issues to determine the necessary corrective actions.
  • Plan and coordinate repairs, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems to promote efficient operations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and functional condition.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Assist with event setups and breakdowns, including the movement of furniture and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment, ensuring supplies are organized.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair work.
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and performance standards.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and significance.
  • Follow security protocols to safeguard the building and its occupants during maintenance operations.
  • Perform groundskeeping duties as required, such as lawn mowing, shrub trimming, and snow removal.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with general carpentry and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and work-related documents.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity are essential.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to work in diverse indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
  • Availability for on-call emergency repairs outside regular working hours.
