Job Description and Duties

The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a skilled Park Maintenance Worker I to join our team at the Auburn State Recreation Area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and trail systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of facilities and trail systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and erosion control.
  • Performing indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather.
  • Working in remote locations and may have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
  • May work up to 1500 hours per year and have a valid Class C driver's license.
  • Must be able to work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and may be required to lead-person capacity over various special work groups.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL) required.
  • Background Investigation clearance required prior to being hired.
